Annual Bhartendu Harishchandra Awards Presented
New Delhi - Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and External Affairs, Shri Anand Sharma has said that Hindi is the force that integrates the whole nation and the growth of ones own language is important not only for the development but also for the pride of the nation. Speaking after giving away the Bhartendu Harishchandra Awards 2006 and dedicating the India 2009 and Bharat 2009, Shri Sharma said that with the growing interest in India, global interest is also increasing in Indian languages and their literature. In such a scenario Hindi holds a place of honour and everything possible should be done to facilitate its growth.
