New Delhi, Feb 1- A month ahead of Class-X and Class-XII board examinations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today started counseling sessions for students and parents to help them overcome exam related stress.
Multiple modes of communication such as telephonic counseling, question answers columns in newspapers, Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and online counseling through CBSE website is being used to reach out to the examinees, the CBSE said.
The board exams begin in march first week and counseling will continue up to April eight.
The CBSE offers tele counseling by trained professionals and principals from its affiliated schools. As many as 52 principals, counselors, psychologists and social scientists are operating this helpline from 8 am up to mid-night from several locations, including Delhi, Noida, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Vishakhapatnam, Jabalpur, Coimbatore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Bangalore, Guwahati and Pune.
Keeping in mind students abroad, helpline centers have also opened at Kuwait, Dubai and Qatar. The board also offers counseling for specially abled children.
Public can also log on to the CBSE website and interact with the Chairman on exam related issues.
